Favorite App so far.... Developers please see link to Announcements above.

Instagram
Feedly
Twitter
TalkRay (I like better than Whatsapp and it's always free)
Oovoo
Keyring
Dropbox
Dish Anywhere
Shazam
Eye in the Sky
Scramble with Friends << my only game. lol

Question: what's the deal with Snapchat? Facebook recently wanted to buy it? Tell me why it's not the most useless app ever? (Unless your sending pix of your junk - which is, imo, why it was invented).

I've been hearing a lot about WhatsApp, I might have to check it out. Anyways here is my favorite app right now, it's Smart Volume Control and it lets you control the sounds in your android phone much better, even lets you schedule times to make your phone go silent and even lets you silent calls from certain people. I haven't used it too much, but I like it so far. You can check it out here: Smart Volume Control

I also get into;

Vine
Twitter
Google Chrome (Duh)
and others I'm far too lazy to list. lol.

I can't say I ever heard of Smart Volume Control, but I will have to check this out. I really like the idea of having a few of my contacts be put on silent, sounds much more appealing to me than just deleting them, because some of my contacts are still friends, but I can't be bothered to talk to them on the phone for long hours on end.

I'll have to check it out though, sounds cool. :D

I just saw Smart Volume Control + on the google play marketplace, how is it? I watched a video for it and it allows you to control a lot of things when it comes to volume. The video mentions how you can have many profiles, and schedules. Say you're in school from 9 am to 3pm you can set a schedule to keep your phone on silent every day for that time period. There's just so much you can do with it.

Right now I have the Volume Control + Pro app that works good, but this smart volume control + looks to have more advantages. Thanks for sharing.

Anyways my favorite app right now, Hulu plus. I watch a lot of tv so this works wonders for me. :D

Sorry for the extra post, but I just purchased the Smart Volume Control + and oh man is it wonderful. I'm able to control every sound, small and big right from this app. Also, one thing I found out about it, is that there's actually an option to turn the volume up by itself while you're driving, and it depends on the speed you're going. Some how it can tell and it'll change the volume because of that.

Really cool and I just wanted to put my opinion out there on it. Quite cool, thanks for sharing.

Yeah it's awesome right? It's a very useful app, I can't believe I never heard of it until fairly recently, supposedly it's been around for some time, should be more popular for how useful it is.

I'm still figuring out what it all does, I've set up a few profiles in order to control my sound. I'm actually thinking about setting up every day with a schedule depending on my days. Should be fun.

Anyways, I have been playing around lately with a bunch of apps for drawing. Found Sketchbook pro and I'm going to purchase that soon. Need to get back to drawing again. :D

Question: what's the best app to keep secure docs and passwords and such. I'm looking at Memento DB and aWallet Password Manager.

I really need to find something reliable ~~ I'm one of those nuts that has multiple passwords and changes them often.

Suggestions?

RoboForm - Do some research on it first. It's indispensable.

There isn't a way to unlink the ringer and notifications with Smart Volume Control right? Ideally when I am at home I would want the ringer to be on high and my notifications to be on mute, but I understand that The Nexus 5 or Kit Kat may not allow that.

I have moved your thread into the Favorite App so far thread, as the main purpose of the Applications forum is to take on questions and queries regarding apps on Android.

Your thread will serve better use here and a lot of people do look at this thread for good applications. Hope this helps :)

if you're a car head, Torque + a $12 ELM327 adapter will tell you much about what's going on under the hood. It has great feature for track day as well as for those looking to squeeze a few more mpg out by driving to engine efficiency. beautiful, fully configurable displays, lots of data points.

for a total investment of < $20, its a lot of fun

I just discovered Missed It!, which is one of the two supported unread count providers for Nova Launcher. It's advertised as a widget, which is why I never really paid much attention to it before - I was looking for a way to get unread count badges on icons, not widgets. But it turns out that it does that too, for any app that uses the notification bar. Basically the same functionality that Samsung, HTC, etc. use in their interfaces, not to mention Apple and Windows Phone.

There's a lot of customization in Nova Launcher, for example after I took that screenshot I changed the badges from red to orange. The only downside is that sometimes the unread count doesn't reflect how many unread messages you actually have. That and you have to buy two apps to make it work (Nova Prime and Missed It!) but it's well worth the five bucks or so.

Can anyone recommend a good RPG?

They can vary a lot in content, type and whatnot but my two favorite ones are Blood Brothers (I've pretty much stopped playing ALL other games until I get tired of this one) and Andor's Trail.
Some others I really like are Hero's Call (excellent on a tablet) and Hero Mages.
I also really like Virtual City on my tablet (when it works  )
