Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] Official LiquidSmooth Nightlies!!

I'm running 3.0 and still getting the occasional systemui FC. I wonder what in the world is causing this? I wasn't having this issue until the last 2 builds. Hmmmm......

Read on the G+ page that some folks are experiencing this as well. I clean flashed using philz and haven't had one fc. I just flashed dkp latest with no issues.

I'm glad you mentioned that because I think it may actually have something to do with the kernel. I'm going to make a backup and then flash dkp. If that stops the FCings we'll know what's up.

Also. When I say I'm getting FCings, it's not all the time. It's just once in awhile. Definitely something I can easily live with. Still going to try the dkp kernel.:D

Like HP said, dirty flashing will cause hella FC's especially coming from an older nightly. Some folks were saying that they were getting a few during initial bootup but after the ROM settled it was all good. DKP is running nice and smooth!

I rarely dirty flash. Definitely a big no no when a lot of changes have been made in the changelog. I've gotten the systemui FC in the past with LS but only when 1st flashing the ROM. Never afterwards. I've had 5 or 6 FC since flashing the new build of LS last night.

I went ahead and flashed DKP along with Comedose. Haven't had a FC since. Hopefully that solved my problem. If not I'll do another clean install. :D

I also had the FCs on this largest release. Even on dkp. Too bad, was loving me some LS. But evidently my phone doesn't.

One good thing about the S3 is that we have so many decent ROMs to choose from. There a ROM out there to satisfy almost everyone. Notice I said almost. LOL! Some people are just never satisfied with anything.

There's another ROM that Struckn told me about that I need to bring over here. Give me a little while and I'll get it posted in the ROM thread.

Damn. Just had it FC on me. I'll try a clean install. If it keeps FCing on me I'll just switch to one of my LS backups or flash another ROM.

You'll have to its going to get worse if you don't lol it starts simple then the longer you run it the more fcs you get that's how it was for me when I was on the nightlys and kept dirty flashing, its a process but just backup your sms and apps then wipe everything and set it up from scratch bro...

But at that point you could run another rom though lol so

I rarely Dirty flash. Only if there aren't many changes in the change log.

I will usually do a clean install. Most of the time I have no choice because I run and test out so many different ROMs. I came to Liquidsmooth 3.0 from SOKP.

I wanted to share something that happened when flashing the official 3.0 update. Right after I flashed it the LS updater told me there was an update. I went ahead and took the update. Come to find out, that really isn't an update at all. It reverts you back to the older build.

Thanks to Wyelkins for pointing this out to me.

No wonder I was getting the same FCs I was getting from the previous build. LOL The update actually flashed the the build I was having trouble with.

Sooooo, to those of you who flash the official 3.0 update, don't let the Liquidsmooth updater update the ROM. It will put you right back on the previous build.

I flashed the 3.0 build again and so far so good. No FCs yet. Hopefully this solved the problems. To verify you are on the correct build, check the build in your settings. It will say v3.0- OFFICIAL.

Same thing happened to me. I didn't let it update either.

I did have one FC on the Official but that was it. Runs great so far. I want to hear some feedback on the Theme Engine.

I think it's great now we just need devs to update their themes so they can support it because I haven't found any that support all the categories of the new theme engine so far expect the one that comes with it which is from ls lol

I understand I'm kinda anxious for another build myself because this one is still kind of ruff around the edges

I almost did that yesterday then I realized it's the nightly 5/6 build looking at links for the builds they are on different servers or at least separate links one is the "nighly server" and the other is the official server in guessing they didn't include the ota updater to look at the "official build" sever so it's still searching for new nighly updates I just turned off the notifications

So I've just updated my liquid smooth ROM , to the newest nightly , 5/4 I think .. I get a repetitive systemui failure and force close so I'll have to restart the phone at times. My front camera on the default camera app is super blurry and on camera MX it force restarts my phone. The battery life is okay, but not what I'd like it yo be. The phone isn't as snappy and quick as it was before the update. Thanks.

I would re-download the ROM. The one you have may be corrupt. You may also have a bad GAPPS package. Then try these. The newest GAPPS are from 5/16. Anything that is not in this package can be found on Play. This is the mini-modular GAPPS package.
Goo.im Downloads - Browsing older versions

Go into Philz and choose the WipeData/Factory Reset then select "Clean to Install a New ROM". Then wipe the cache and Dalvik cahe. Flash the ROM, then the GAPPS, and then the APN fix in that order. You do not need to reboot between zips. Flash them back to back.

You may get a systemui FC ay boot. Don't sweat it. Just tap it and it'll go away. You may also get a FC occasionally with Liquidsmooth. It's the ROM. I got them once in awhile too.

Can always rely on you, Wetbiker!

If you keep having issues with Liquidsmooth, give AOKP a try. I ran it for awhile and it was good to go. It just doesn't have some of the options that LS has. It's stable though.

If there's something missing from AOKP that you need, Try Xposed Framework. Wanam is nice but XBlast Tools gives you more options for the AOSP based ROMs. ;)

Let me know how Liquidsmooth is treating you. You should be OK. Just remember that the occasional systemui FC happens. At least it did for me once in awhile. :)

I moved this here being it has to do with the nightly rom. :)

Hello, I am currently running the 4-13 version of this LS rom. I have had no issues up to recently. Now, it seems like I have no data. I am unable to stream a radio app and stream youtube videos on the network. I do have lte in my area and it has always worked before. Its saying connection to server lost on both apps. Even when I try to broswe web pages it is saying server error. On my phone, I had it set to where I get a notification when I get close to 2.5GB of data and I received a notification the other day. I called Boost (before I realized I had no data) to see where I was at datawise and they said I was close to 2.5GB, about 600MB left. They said even when I hit the 2.5GB that it would slow down a bit. She said that it would still be lte speeds though. I don't know if being close to the 2.5GB cap would be the cause of the issue I'm having with my data. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas of what I could do to get my data working again?
Also, I have adblock plus installed on my phone. I did a little research and it appears that there are some concerns with adblock plus using excessive data. This might be the reason why I am so close to my cap. I have never went over this 2.5Gb in previous months. Has anyone else had issues with adblock plus using exessive data? Thanks for your response

Anyone have any suggestions as to why I now don't have data.I called boost and they said to update profile but I don't see anywhere to do this. Please help

That's exactly what you need to do. First make a nandroid backup of LS, then you'll have to restore a touchwiz rom backup or flash one. It will have the option under system updates. After you update profile and have data back restore your LS backup and you should be good to go.

This is weird but I think I figured it out. I had adblock plus installed and I froze it with TB and it seems like my data is now working, both streaming radio apps play now, youtube works and webpages now come up. Thats weird that this app somehow messed with my data. I am going to keep it frozen for a month just to see if my data goes down because according to my phone, it used up 2.05gb in 3 weeks. Adblock plus also wasn't working properly on my pc, I uninstalled and reinstalled and now that works fine for the moment. Has anyone else had and issues with adblock plus on their phones?? I guess I'm gonna have to wait for all those ads when I watch videos. :( lol
