hi guys

i couldn't find a post that discussed goomanager problems. at least not recent. anyway i recently got a message on cell that said:

an update for your rom is available.

i haven't been notified of a update in ages. can someone point me to where i can find out how to update it properly? cause i click on that message above and it just returns nothing. and sometimes this message appears below:

Important Message

Not Found

The requested URL /message was not found on this server.

i tried browse compatible ROMs and it returns nothing. i saw that there was a don't use rom manager thread but i didn't think it meant this too cause goomanager if i recall comes with the mod i got for this phone.

can anyone please help??

The same notification for an update through Goo.im comes up for my ROM. CTMod 3.8 GB on Sprint ZVC for LS855 LG Marquee.

When I select it, the same message appears...

Not Found

The requested URL /message was not found on this server.

Hi cwhatever

Can u please tell me the steps on how to do either of your suggestions? Or point me to a thread that explains it? I hope you don't mind me asking.

Do you have titanium backup? If not you should get it and the paid version is great and you will always use it, even on other phones.
1 open titanium up
2 click backup/restore
3 click on the goo app
4 back it up first then freeze or delete it.

With the backup you can always restore it later if need be.
If you don't have it you will have to set it up first, just follow all instructions in the app the first time you open it up. Hope this helps.

hi cwhatever.

just finally had the time to follow the instructions. i noticed when i did step 4 i chose freeze. after i did that i noticed goo was still at the top left hand corner. so i pressed clear in the pull down menu. if it comes back ill try the delete option in titanium pro.

ill let you know if it comes back. thanks a lot cwhatever. :D

Much of the time you have to reboot to get rid of icons for frozen apps.
