So for the past few weeks, I have been unable to use earphones on my Optimus Elite because the plugs keep sliding out of the headphone jack on the phone. Does anyone know of any steps I can take to fix this problem?

Help Earphones won't stay in headphone jack

Most likely you have a bit of lint and dust jammed down into the headphone jack where it would clamp the headphone connector into. I had to clean mine out today, I just used a toothpick and a light to see down into the jack. You'll probably want to get a little more than a toothpick however if you want to get the metal contacts inside completely clean.

As I'm sure you can now tell, I managed to finally connect my earphone plug into my phone. I never would have imagined that my problem was simply a piece of lint.
