the VM/Sprint kernel source isnt the proper kernel source for the device, it is however the proper source for the cricket device. once i get a config file that works on the sprint/boost/vm devices i will make a kernel. Check arch/arm/configs the a11ul_defconfig exists but, there isnt an a11chl_defconfig. However, once i post the kernel you can test it to see if it will boot.

Has he tried using the recovery dtb from the stock rom? does the recovery not flash or just doesn't boot? is the kernel source available?

no he just compile stock recovery with twrp and thats just it with fastboot boot recovery.img the output is an error about dtb yes there is a source or from what i believe on htc dev

i believe the kernel for my network unlocked eu 64bit device is the one below my stock phone says kernel is 3.10.28 in settings:

Desire 510
hTC Asia
WWE
CRC
3.10.28
v4.4.3 441 MB
1.50.707.1

if not then the kernel would be the same version but the uk one on htc dev i bought the phone netowrked unlocked but it came with orange sim???

if the output is an error about dtb then he needs the dtb file from the stock recovery or he needs to create a new dtb file to flash with, i will join the google group. i need two things if he can provide them. the stock recovery dtb file and the compiled kernels dtb file. i will make a new custom dtb file that should allow you to flash the recovery and see if it will work. i had to make a custom dtb file for my kernel.

This kernel is for the US Cricket wireless variant ONLY no 64 bit device will run this kernel. If you flashed this without a kernel backup then you are bricked until your device has a working recovery. I posted a warning in my OP if you did not read it then that is your own fault I can not be held responsible....

I had to have missed something but was this new kernel for the 32 bit or the 64 bit cricket variant? I see where it's for the cricket but with this phone having 64 bit capability going with the 32 bit now will blow all possibilities for 64 bit in the future I was told. If you could please confirm this with me if at all possible. I thank you in advance and FYI I appreciate everything you do to for the android community.
Thanks again
Jackson
