Help Flashtool Error

I'm on the custom zv4, and I was playing around with the build.prop and now my phone won't boot. I'm wondering is there a way to replace the build.prop if you can't boot into the phone? I've tried just starting over and doing the flashtool and going back to zv3, but it's giving me an error device model is different, check phone or dll. I've tried hard resetting using the volume down and power but since the build.prop is screwed up it still won't boot.

Since you don't already have custom recovery, and the fact that you your phone wont boot, you're going to have to restore with download mode. Make sure in the LG flash tool that you have the correct DLL selected. The correct DLL should actually have the phones model number in the file name - LS740.

If it won't work with your current setup, I would uninstall everything and try again from the following link. Start at step 1 and follow everything step by step and it should get you back to where you need to be.

I did it from scratch and got the same error. I've done this many times in the past and never had this issue, so not sure what the problem is now, because I've done everything exactly the same. So guess I'll have to go buy another volt and hopefully figure this out and have it as a backup cause I work 3rd shift and can't be without a phone on the road late night.

Yes everything worked before. The only thing I did different was flash the boot.img file so I'm not sure if that did something or not, but in previous attempts I never flashed the boot.img file and could reflash back to zv3 with no issues even from the custom zv4.

I ended up buying a different phone, but would still like to figure it out and have it on standby if I need another one. I also removed all the usb stuff and the same error. I might try to see if I can get it fixed by lg since it's still under warranty but I'm sure they will figure out it was rooted and custom rom so not sure.

I tried it on a pc that I've never had the phone connected to and received the same error. On the flashtool I noticed that when you install it, it prompts with I believe it was 4 options for a factory, I think one was korea, and one just had question marks, and one I can't remember but the last one was test so I selected it, was that right?

No, you didn't put the megalock dll in the flash tool folder. You shouldn't get that prompt at all.

I uninstalled and reinstalled it again, and it says DBMS, which I saw on another thread was the factory, so I tried the other options and got the same error. The megalock was in the folder.
No, the megalock that installs with the flashtool has to be replaced with the one from the download. I'm going to assume that you don't have the LS740 dll either, that needs to be in there too. You will not get any kind of factory/login/password prompt if you have installed the correct megalock dll.
