Help Fingerprint Scanner Glitch?

Received my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge today and I'm LOVING IT so far. It's my first switch over to android, so it's been taking a while to get used to. There's a few things I'm already concerned about, and was wondering if anyone else was having the same issues.

My fingerprint scanner only unlocks when I first power on the phone. When I lock and unlock a second time, it switches to the swipe. It happens with all of the settings too (I'll do PIN, power down, it works one time, and then switches to swipe to unlock). I've searched everywhere on where I can enable it all the time, because it seems like that should be an option. I have looked all over the phone and couldn't see an option anywhere, but that could easily just me being slow at this.

Other than that, the phone has been absolutely amazing so far - I can tell I'm really going to love it. I just hope I don't have to return it and get a new one if it keeps glitching like this.

Update: ... problem solved!! Just needed to go to secure lock settings --> secured lock time
Sorry about the post!
