This or the Huawei watch??

I really wanted a 360 when it first came out but the more I looked at it the more I thought it was just a little too thick for my tastes. But these look more my style. The Urban is a nice looking watch and I thought, finally - an Android Watch I might like - and the Huawei Watch was a pleasant surprise to see this am too!

I've never been a watch guy - not since I was a teenager. But lately I've been thinking about it..

Huawei watch has no flat tire display, so I'm inclined in their direction contingent upon pricing and whether the U.S. government will allow it to be imported (since they seem to think Huawei installs spyware for the Chinese government [emoji58])

Me too! I haven't worn a watch in the last decade (though I have several), but I might reconsider for the Urbane… especially the LTE version, which means it could actually replace my phone in some situations. Who knows, maybe this will drive creative pricing from carriers?

I hadn't worn a watch in forever until I got the 360. Now it just feels wrong without it on. Took a while to get used to it though.
If I had to do it all over again I'd be all over that Huawei.

This is the first Android watch (Urbane) I actually would consider getting (perhaps the LTE version)
It looks fantastic! Not too bulky looking, smooth!
I mean, just look at it!

They both look great, but between the two I'd probably be leaning slightly to the (Huawei) Watch. It has a horrible choice for a name, but the slightly-higher resolution can make a big difference on a small screen.

Many people don't know how to correctly pronounce "Huawei", so it often does sound horrible. "Xiaomi" can cause pronunciation difficulties as well.

Are Huawei phones and cellular infrastructure plant allowed to be imported into the US? There's many Chinese phones have become very popular here and elsewhere in Asia, most notably Xiaomi. But to actually buy something like a Xiaomi or an Oppo in the US, you have to import them from their authorized resellers in Hong Kong AFAIK. Verizon, Sprint or AT&T certainly don't sell them.

Roughly "way-way", or so I've been told? Am I close?

And I was more bothered but the Watch product name rather than the Huawei company name.

On a related note, I'm really looking forward to the Honda Car, Ford Truck, and Porsche Compensator! ;-)

I thought I was gonna wait for the Huawei to come out sometime this Summer, but after they just delayed it again until possibly as late as December, my plans for a smartwatch changed drastically. Actually, my wife just bought me a Moto 360 (she didn't know I really didn't like it), but I just didn't care for the style and that damn "flat tire". With no word on when the 2nd generation 360 is coming, I pulled the trigger on the Urbane. I absolutely love it, and the Mrs. thinks it looks a lot better than the 360. It looks much more like a timepiece! Very pleased so far!

I'm bummed on the wah-way watch getting delayed too.

I decided against the Urbane due to how bulky it is, especially at that price point. The Zenwatch went on sale for 129 and I couldn't turn that down.

I noticed a lot of these watches look awesome in pictures, only to be HUGE in person. I've gotten used to my LG Urbane and feel its appearance is basically perfect. I have tiny wrists and it still doesn't look comically large.

I went in 100% comically huge w/the Samsung Gear S. :paperbagdroid:

Got an aftermarket metal band & it actually looks a lot better with it

(still no getting around that junk-in-da-trunk look though)........

The thing looks beautiful, but will Huawei deliver? Can you say emui running on watch? Google notifications not working... Really hoping they bring their A game

Or they could pull a Samsung and have it not running Android.

AFAIK it is running Android Wear, so it has to be stock.

Yea, I was *mostly* joking

Talkband was pretty cool, but over priced. Packaging for that was SUPER premium, device did not live up to it. Had a couple weird bugs that still have never been addressed. I'm a Huawei fan, just saying.

There are two significant differences between the LG Watch Urbane and the Huawei Watch. (1) The Urbane actually exists and can be purchased today. (2) The Urbane battery is more than 50% bigger. I have an Urbane and I love it!
