Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] [ROM]AdvancedStock8 AS7v22 Update - Back to life!

Shortly after you said this, I rebooted, formatted everything again, redownloaded the files, and started from scratch.

Then I found out my microsd card is, indeed, at fault. It has completely died and is not even showing up in diskpart or gparted.

It's not even a paperweight because it doesn't weigh enough.

Sorry, sandix. I am at fault here. I'll get a new card and try again.
Have you tried flashing from internal sd card ?

I'm going to leave my previous responses for posterity and further troubleshooting for other users. I've flashed 5 or so phones in my time, and I wondered why the instructions were different for this phone versus others.
  1. My SD card was a super old, 4GB, perpetually used and abused piece of hardware. It needed replaced. I went out and bought a new one tonight.
  2. Instead of just formatting /cache and using "wipe data/factory reset" like the instructions say, I went in and did like I have always done with every other phone and formatted /system, /data, /cache, /boot in "mounts and storage", and used the "wipe data/factory reset" options.
After that, this went off without a hitch. I'll be using this as my daily driver until the next update comes along, then i'll use that.

Thanks to sandix for the awesome ROM. You Rock

Thank you for the kind words.

Just to let everyone know, I know longer maintain this ROM as I do not have this phone anymore. But this update is still relevant today so please continue to use it.

Links should be back up in about half an hour, got some free hosting from GoDaddy.

The Debloated firmwares (Stock) are removed but AdvancedStock7/8 are still in there.

Also removed the LG_SUPPLIMENTAL pack as it is no longer needed.

SDSwapper is still in there for those who want it as a download for a stock ROOTED phone.

I'm trying to do this for a friend since he now has my phone and I use the LG Stylo...

I flashed the v5 aboot when I flashed CarbonROM. Will I need a v8 aboot version if I wanted to flash this ROM?

EDIT: Nevermind, I noticed aboot.img is included in the ZIP. Thank you!
Additionally, thank you for keeping these files alive. :]

Can I use TWRP v2.8.0.0 to flash this ROM or does it require CWM?

Also, I got a new phone, so my Optimus F3 is no longer activated as a phone on VM. I would like to use my F3 as a non-phone Android device. Will I be able to use this ROM for that? Any special installation instructions I will need to follow? Do I need to skip the Update PRL step in the instructions?

EDIT: Well flashing with TWRP worked. This ROM has magically given my device a new life! I should have done this a long time ago.
