Root [Rom] [Stock] Jelly Bean 4.1.2 (M040)

You are doing it almost correct, but I see that daemon is restarted on the screenshot. adb devices will show you a list if it catches it before it was rebooted.
Try do to it phew times. For second time deamon will be already running and you could probably make it execute fast enough before it rebooted again. They key is to execute "adb reboot recovery" just after the adb loaded on device, and before it rebooted again.
If you'll fail, go to someone that has JTag (a service center, for example) and give him the zip to flash, they can recover from such situations.

No, I don't own CA-201L and don't know how to fix anything on that device.

it not work in my phone :(

If you use the command adb wait-for-device reboot recovery it can help catch those difficult cases of serial reboots.

is already a week I try to unlock my Casio G'zOne from the startup screen with adb ... but no ... it does not work .. I installed everything correttamnente but the message that I read at the end is always the same: error: device not found ... what can I do now?

That should get you booted into recovery.
After this, try flashing the file I provided and then my ROM.
If it would not work, the only idea that left is to roll back to Korean initialization_410_tool.. It should work 100% for CA-201L users. But it will flash 4.0.4 ROM.

Hello Doctor, I need to flash the rom the original Korean, but your suggestion initialization_410_tool. tells me that the software does not exist. To suggest if you know where I can find the rom?

1. If your phone are working normal and you want to revert back to baseband 470 from M040 or M050 first flash modemst.zip then second flash baseband 470.
Or by another way just flash only this SpecialBaseband_470.zip that I have combined here:
https://app.box.com/s/zuxfb9jupkwka4sq1cmf
Reboot and after that it will work nomally with baseband 470.
2. If your phone is lost IMEI and network follow that
- reboot to CWM wipe cache, data/factory reset, dalvik-cache format cache, data, system, sdcard
- flash modemst.zip
- then flash Initialization_410_Tool.zip
- wipe again and reboot!
You will go back to stockCA201L.
I have tested several times and many my friends successed with that method.
Hi to all ,khanhvmc i wrote all posts 3 times here and wondering is there a way for me to have jelly-bean-4-1-2-m040 on my CA201L with net coverage , sms sending and working camera.
I did everything as is described to upgrade my stock 4.0.4 rom to 4.1.2 with ca-201l_cwm-signed.zip and had these problems:
1 . camera not working
2. Sim card from unknown source
I have install extra settings and baseband 040 and camera works and there isn't message for the sim card , but the phone lose coverage at all.I tried to recover stock rom with Initialization_410_Tool.zip but there was bootloob every ittime till i install baseband 040 for c811.Others basaband s 410 or 470 wasn't successful and there was bootloob. After all i used modemst.zip and Initialization_410_Tool.zip and went to the stock rom .I didn't unlock boatloader and didn't root th phone. So I will be really grateful if somebody tells me way how to upgrade rom .Thank you all

but the phone lose coverage at all.
It's probably due to baseband installer on M040 not clrearing up the modemst[1, 2] partitions. Which causes problems on CA-201L. I made the intsaller a while ago and didn't know the wipe is safe and needed.

Go for M070, you should have no problems.

Hi.
Is do you mean you get GPRS signal icon instead of HSDPA?
If the network is working for you I wouldn't mind the icon.
If not, have you tried changing network mode in Settings -> Wireless -> More... -> Mobile Netorks -> Network Mode?

I'm try another network mode, but it don't work. I'm try this sim with another Casio G'zOne CA-201, it's have HSDPA. This Casio is CA-201L, both same device and rom

Hi,

Are all these custom ROMs rooted ?
All the apps that I've been trying to install that requires root privileges say that the rom is not rooted.

But the one click root app says that my phone is already rooted.

I tried to fix permissions, but I still don't have su access to my phone. I want to use the offline AP application.

What should I do to have root access to the phone ?

Thanks,
Joao

This is not a custom ROM. This is a stock non-rooted ROM.
In order to root it, install CWM Superuser or SuperSU from CWM. Simple as that.

Problems:
1) Wi-Fi did not connect after password entered. Fixed by toggling Airplane mode.
2) USSD requests return messages in unknown language
3) In APN settings no "New APN" menu (APN can be set via "Offline SIM APN" converted to system app) thanks to ncdad1969's answer in this thread).
4) Rooted via CWM root (link to root zip is in the description)

CA-201L problems:
1) Camera not working for some reason.

Installation:

1) If you are installing on C811 and upgrading from M020
Install these at once, don't reboot until installed all zips.

Install CA-201L_aboot.zip
Install C811_M040_bootloader_no_aboot.zip
Install baseband_M8960A-1.5.38_C811M040.zip
Install C811_M040_system_boot.zip

Noob steps:
The extended steps will be.
1) Put CA-201L_aboot.zip, C811_M040_bootloader_no_aboot.zip, baseband_M8960A-1.5.38_C811M040.zip and C811_M040_system_boot.zip to Internal Storage or SD Card.
2) Flash Clockworkmod recovery using Flashify. This will replace your stock recovery with one that has more features.
3) Then boot into Clockworkmod using adb. To do this,
Turn on USB debugging in your device (Settings -> Developer Options -> USB Debugging), install the drivers to your PC, install adb (and you can take a look at the brief tutorial) Connect the device to a PC, open command prompt as administrator and type
Code:
adb reboot recovery
command and hit enter.
If you get "adb is not a command" - it means no adb in your PATH, google around and you will get how to fix it.
If you get "device not found" - no drivers or bad drivers or you forgot to enable USB debugging or the phone is not connected or not powered on.
4) After it boots to Clockworkmod, choose "install zip from sdcard" (or external sdcard if the files are on SD Card), install the files in sequence in which they are listed on this post (actually sequence doesn't really matter, but I would go flashing starting from bootloader :) ).
Clockworkmod guide
5) Go back to main CWM menu, choose wipe cache, wipe data / factory reset, then choose advanced -> wipe dalvik cache.
6) After that you can choose "reboot system now".

2) If installing to CA-201L
Install C811_M040_system_boot.zip

3) If you already running C811 M040 and just need to recover stock M040 system
Install C811_M040_system_boot.zip

Mirrors:
CA-201L_aboot.zip
C811_M040_aboot.zip
baseband_M8960A-1.5.38_C811M040.zip
C811_M040_bootloader_no_aboot.zip
C811_M040_system_boot.zip

You means that with this attached rom the problem of USSD in Chinese words can be solved.

I previously installed m020 rom on my casio commando, but it had a lot of problems (drain battery fast, lost antenna signal, poor wifi connection). Are they regular in this rom? Additionally, do you have any m020 rom without all of these weak points for sharing with me?
No. I mean this cannot be solved on M040 or newer. USSD worked only on M020.

I installed both m020 rom (stock_811_root.zip) and exactly the same sent baseband that you sent its zip (baseband_C811_M020) by CWM. However, I think maybe the rom (stock_811_root.zip) that I used it for installing had such problems (drain battery fast, lost antenna signal, poor wifi connection), but it was the only rom I could find it for installing in internet. Therefore, I would appreciate if you could share your m020 rom with me.

Try this one, it's a CWM backup I used to use, I had no issues with it.
