That kinda confirms a Note 8

I would imagine Samsung already have a pencil date for 2017 although as you say probably cyclical at this point. Samsung do not have to deploy manpower to support the N7 now so I imagine there's plenty of bodies around to get this one right. I just hope Samsung continue to push the envelope and don't produce us a pup like the Note 5 or do an Apple on us.

Also worth considering are the reports that Samsung has supposedly decided to release only one "flagship" each year to consider. If true then it will have to choose between the Galaxy S successor and a possible Note replacement for 2017.

Perhaps Samsung needs some extra special help. After all they still haven't given a definite reason, and likely they still don't know why the Note7s burned. Even if it's just an exercise to try to restore customer confidence in their products.

FWIW I know a lot of people that would never fly with Malaysia Airlines, including me, because of something that happened and they don't know why, MH370.

MH370 - Lighting. Space station captured the strike & explosion.

What I'm really excited about are the 9nm transistors made from carbon nano tubes.. [emoji89] NanoTech!! Less heat, less energy consumption, faster speeds..
The best & baddest we had up to this point are 14nm.. Moore's law may even continue a bit longer. But seriously, imagine having another 40% battery to the beasts you already run.

More rumblings about the death of the Note line, replaced by the S8 Plus:

http://www.inquisitr.com/3825277/sa...lease-or-not-to-release-that-is-the-question/

If Samsung kills off the Note and instead releases two Galaxy S devices - one with a larger screen and S-Pen - then who cares? "Note" is just a name. If the S8 Plus carries the same functionality, I'm all in. Plus, it would be released at the same time as the S8, which means we don't have to wait an extra 6 months!

Interestingly enough, I just got off the phone with Verizon, and I asked about the Note 8. I was directed to go look at the Samsung page and .....there are accessories already listed for the Note 8!!!! This could be a good thing, but I wish that Samsung would just say once and for all if there will be a Note 8 or not.

That's not a new product, it's an old one. It's a tablet. Samsung has problems with product naming overlap...

I knew Note 8 sounded familiar...
So what do you think jpj? Note 9 or Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus.

I don't care what they call it! ;) As long as it has the SPen, at least 6GB of RAM, at least 128GB of storage, microSD card slot (or better, UFS card slot), IP68 certification, a huge battery, USB Type-C, Android-N, SamsungPay NFC & MST, I'll be more than happy.

So it won't be thinner than the Note 7?

Thin is IN! these days.

HAHA!! ;)

Yeah, I don't get where they got this maniacal drive to make the devices thinner and thinner. That's not what to do if you want to make them resist being bent and broken in someone's pocket. And it's not what you do when you want to make room for a battery that will give you AT LEAST an entire, worry free day of heavy use.
