Yesterday my device was restarted, I saw message saying the I am signed out of my google account. No matter what I tried to do, it will not allow to sign in. I enter the user name and password correctly, and it seems it is accepted, then I see message the it is checking info, then I see the same login message again over and over.

In other screens when I try to add account from my InBox app, I finally see message that something went wrong. At that time, the other 2 devices (Huawei P10 and HTC One) were working fine.

On HTC One M9, I deleted the data for all Google Related Apps and Service, I removed all Google Related accounts and rebooted but no luck. It won't accept adding google account.

Also, I opened Google Play Services from Setting/Apps, and I uninstalled latest updates, and still won't let me add google account.

Then today morning, I saw the same message on HTC One and Huawei P10.

Then I decided to logout my google account from all devices. So I logged in to my GMail on desktop, and signed out from all web sessions. Also, I changed my password. Now I am only able to login to google account from my Huawei P10 after several trials.

Still on my HTC One M9, it won't let me add google account. I will try shortly on my old HTC One as I didn't remove google account on HTC One.

Appreciate your help and feedback.

As of now, I'm able to login to my Google account on two devices (HTC one and Huawei P10)...

It seems it was temporary problem or maybe after I changed password... but HTC ONE M9 still I'm unable to add any Google account...

On HTC ONE M9, I uninstalled recent updates to Google Play Services from settings / Apps as I was trying to solve the problem. Can you help me reinstall the latest version of Google Play Services on HTC ONE M9 as now I'm unable to access Google Play app hopefully this will help me resolve this problem?

Finally, the problem was solved by following the steps below and I'm not sure which one solved the problem :

- Turn on Mobile data. It was off since there was no SIM card.

- Turn of power and data saver

- Change Google Account password from desktop and sign out all other web sessions

- Clear data for Google Play Services

- Reboot on safe mode and Uninstall updates for Google Play Services and reinstall the right variant from APK mirror. Must take snapshot of the existing version.

- Clear cache from recovery mode

- Create HTC account and reestablish the account on the device

Mind you in this case you have access to Internet only through WiFi and Chrome browser.

If this happens to your device, don't panic just wait for next day and try again. Don't remove Google Account as this will make it harder to solve. Also make sure not to perform any action that will delete other accounts / data such as whatsapp as all other apps/data were not affected at all.
