cm11 4.4.4 for htc wildfire s

HELLO THIS IS ANDROID ADMIRER

BEFORE WE ARE ABLE TO FLASH THIS ROM CM11 4.4.4 for metro pcs

WE HAVE TO FIRST UPGRADE OUR RECOVERY TO PHILZ TOUCH 6.43.7 RECOVERY (in order to flash a kitkat rom

flashing from another recovery will give status 7 error)

FROM THE CLOCKWORKMOD TEAM (THANKS BTW)

SO TO DO THIS,ASSUMING YOU ARE ALREADY ROOTED AND YOUR BOOTLOADER IS ALREADY UNLOCKED,

THEN DOWNLOAD THE RECOVERY.IMG HERE

http://www.mediafire.com/download/c8wrc2oejpt86cc/recovery.img

THEN PLACE RECOVERY.IMG INTO THE ROOT OF YOUR SD EXTERNAL SDCARD(NOT IN A FOLDER)

THEN IF YOU HAVE A TERMINAL EMULATOR (OR DOWNLOAD ONE FROM PLAYSTORE)

OPEN THE TERMINAL UP AND TYPE SU

IT WILL ASK FOR SUPERUSER PERMISSIONS,ACCEPT AND THEN TYPE

-------------------------------------------
flash_image recovery/sdcard/recovery.img
-------------------------------------------
hit enter and it should flash it without error

if you come up with an error

repeat all the above steps again

to check if it went ok you can type
----------------
reboot recovery
----------------

and your phone should reboot right into philz recovery

HERE IS THE CM11ROM.ZIP

small typo in the recorvery: a space is missing
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img

for the rest the instuctions worked like a charm !!!
took only 20..30 minutes and now it's at kitkat 4.4.4 :)

also installed Gapps using the link from zoro13.
install worked fine, booted and at first it did not seem to work properly, rebooted once more and then it asked me to log in and it worked fine.

thanks a lot !!

Are you running this on a wildfire S....

If so.. congratulations for keeping this running. The fact that you're able to do anything in 2018 with the limited hardware and resources is an achievement in itself.

If you're running this on other hardware, posting in a more appropriate part of the forum may get you a better answer...

yup ... i installed CM rom on wildfire S ... i want to using this phone as ip wireless camera ... rom works like as charm ... wifi, bluetooth, gps, sensors, usb, camera, flash and all of hardwares are ok ...
but i want to using droidcamx app on this phone :]
other apps looks good ... like as camera fv-5 or wps wpa tester or telegram or magic earth ...
but i want to use vnc viewer and droidcamx only on this phone :\

congratulations on your geekery.... :)

(have you tried contacting the developer?) or trying the older versions of the app?

http://www.dev47apps.com/droidcam/help/
their developer said this app was running on android 4.4+
so this rom is CM 11 [android 4.4 core] ... and i installed this apps ... but when running i got "unfortunetly, droidcamx has stopped" ... i tested this app on other original android phones and its working ....
