My phone no longer sends or opens text attachments unless I am on WiFi. It sends and receives text messages fine on data but will no longer send or open pictures while on data. This wasn't the case until recently. What has changed?
My wife has a Note 4 also and has the same problem. Please help!

If not, check your APN settings (access point names, in the mobile data settings somewhere). These are a common cause of problems with MMS (and as you are talking about sending or receiving pictures this is MMS rather than SMS, which don't require a data connection at all, just a phone connection). You should be able to find your service provider's MMS APN settings on their website or via a quick Web search.

Under APN settings, tried setting "return to default settings" but option was grayed out as were all settings. Contacted Sprint through chat, then got handed off to supervisor on phone call for 45 min. Then got transferred to "Advanced tech support" via phone call for another 35 min. Tried a bunch of settings changes and background programming changes. No help. They created a case ticket and am now awaiting call from "Specialized tech". Please tell me there is someone out there who knows more than these people. Am I wrong in thinking this should not be this hard to figure out? Can somebody please help me figure this out? This is happening on 2= Note 4s but not on a Gs 8, all on same Sprint network. Thank you.

Finally talked to Sprint specialist on "Ticket" referral. They said upgrading from Kit Kat to Marshmallow would fix problem. I'm skeptical because of online reviews stating problems when upgrading to Note 4. They had me attempt an upgrade while talking to them but phone said "need more space. Try deleting files to free up space". Now I have a "Software Update" notification that pops up on my Lock screen and in my notification panel and it won't go away. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it? I don't want to do the upgrade until I get more info on it because of all the bad reviews. I also do not want to see the upgrade reminder every time I use the phone. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
