Outstanding, this is now hands down the best launcher out there IMO. Now that we can customize the dock to whatever we want it's 5 stars for sure. He still kept the snappy response which was the main reason i liked it in the first place. Great job!!! Thank you!

If he can make a way to auto hide the notification bar I will even more excited about it!

It's on his list for the next set of changes... :D

I've been using this for a few days now along with Chevy's Simply Stunning rom, and I can't tell a difference in home screen or app drawer speed whether I am clocked to 550 or 1000 MHz. This app is an enormous achievement.

The only issue I have is that I can't remember what application I was going to replace the contacts button with on the launcher bar now that it is customizable :p

EDIT: I almost forgot! He has also has managed to keep the launcher bar icons in their places when you rotate the home screen. As far as I know Helix still doesn't do that. Very well done.

I have to say I was skeptical. Helix was basically everything I was looking for and I thought it was fast. Then LauncherPro allowed custom dock functions, so I tried it. Wow. Lightning fast. Instantly became my default. I still like an app drawer a bit better than the function in LauncherPro, but that's a minor point. I would also like to see contiunuous scroll. That said, LP is simply amazing for an 0.3 version.

Wow...what a great app! Thanks for introducing me to this guys. I have to say that it was hard to give up Helix because when I found Helix I was blown away and it was one of my favorite apps. It's been FC a lot lately though. :-(

Happy to have this now. Luckily I got in after the dock shortcuts and home button to go to main screen were already fixed. I have uninstalled helix and this is my new friend. I really love it. Had one FC a couple days ago that I didn't report...whoops. Will gladly donate when the option appears.

I will have to say that I do like the double-tap better than pinch to bring up all the screens since I often use my Droid 1-handed...but I'm sure I'll get used to it in time.

Real quick question for y'all. Per some previous posts, I removed all the widgets from my real home page in order to keep my system from bogging down. The regular icons are ok, right?

(My memory seems to be running a big low and I'm trying to peg the culprit. When I used to run advanced task killer I would get 70-80M memory available....lately it's been 50's and 60's. )

Hope the OP doesn't mind that I added a poll...

I'm going to spank you because the "First Unread" link is gone now.

This is in no way a threat against the forum staff. The only harm Trident should worry about would be breaking a rib from laughing at the thought of a sissy like me raising a hand against him (the reason there is no pic of me in my profile.)

lmao! Whoops... :p

I had to read that a few times, but I finally figured out what you were trying to say.

That's right, there is no ned to worry about program shortcuts, just widgets ned to be removed...

Just to clarify, when I try LauncherPro, do I have to remove the shortcuts and widgets from Helix before switching? Or does that only apply to the stock home?
Thanks!

All widgets will need to be removed from all home apps except the one you are using (Helix, Home++, Etc).

Shortcuts and folders are fine.

Finally got around to trying this, now that the dock icons are customizable. Holy cow! I really like it so far! One FC while rotating to landscape, no biggie.
What I do notice though is that it bounces or woggles when I swipe from one screen to another, it doesn't 'stick' right away. Small complaint and I'll get over it. Super nice launcher over all.

Yeah, that bouncing is intentional and I think it makes swiping a little more fun. I think someone in this thread mentioned that it is similar to the HTC Sense versions of Android.

It's intentional, as already noted. :D

That's pretty funny...that "bounce" feature is one that many Droid users have been dying to have from the HTC Sense experience.
