Help 2.2.1 update

Hi,

I have updated KIES to the latest version and still KIES does not show the availability of 2.2.1 in India... Can any Indian user's confirm if they have been able to upgrade to 2.2.1 via KIES in India?

Hey sanchit.. any clue on when we should get the update.. really don't want to root my phone and have no clue as well on how to do that....phone is showing considerable lag

I am in the same boat as you. No idea when it would be released officially. All we can do is wait

I am left scratching my head.
I'm using 2.2 from a few months ago.
I didn't even reset the machine after the update, and I have no lag at all!

How is it possible that a later version would then show lag?
Aren't the later versions supposed to be improvements?

You would be one lucky guy with no lag post the 2.2 Froyo upgrade .. The forum is filled with post's of lag and battery issues after the upgrade from 2.1..
Fortunately for me battery life seems to have got better its only the lag that's bugging me... Hope 2.2.1 hits India soon...

You guys are making me feel plumb "lucky" to only be running 2.1-upgrade1 on this USA Fascinate on Verizon...

I thought I read a rumor that the next upgrade from VZW will be going straight to vs. 2.3 ??

There's just one thing that bugs me with 2.2.
Swype took a big dive south. It misses many words (predicting etc.)
Not sure why it happened.

Is 2.2.1 an improvement there?

Hey what's the firmware .. I tried flashing I9000XWJS5 ..but the battery performance took a nose dive.. I mean literally the phone ran through a completely charged battery in 3 hrs...what is the firmware you are on??
