I just joined the Samsung community in Google + and there was video for rooting with just a app ....xnossomething. The s2 was in the list. I'm not trying it, of course

I wonder if it's related to the reported security vulnerability in the chip that allows this; It's probably going to get plugged with a patch update from Samsung (soon).

This story surfaced yesterday (12/17).

Obviously, if you're already rooted, the vulnerability is a moot point...
