I'm trying to remove some bloatware and when i try to connect to adb shell after mounting /system, adb gives me and error saying "error: device not found"

    Script Ran:

    cd\sdk\tools

    then,

    adb shell

    then

    error:device not found

How do I go about fixing this? I have installed the USB drivers, do I need new drivers now that I am running 2.2?

Try the command adb devices, and see what the terminal displays. Also, ensure that the phone is set to USB debugging, should be somewhere in the Applications portion of the settings.

Have drivers been properly installed? As in, can you see it under the hardware listing?
