First, turn up the volume.

Next, hit the Menu button (left button) and open Settings and go to Sound & Display.
Click on Phone Ringtone and chose the ringtone you want.
And same for Notification Ringtone.

That or did you have another app installed before the upgrade like Ringdroid or Handcent (for texting/messaging app)
