Android Market Update

My phone is rooted and I put a new rom on it. It has my favorite version of the Android Market.(2.3.6) The one with the big green area at the top. But the problem is it keeps updating on its own to the black version which I hate.(3.0.27) How can I stop it from updating. I can always go into manage apps and have it undo updates but it doesn't last for long. I have checked to see if there is a "no auto update" but can't find one. Any suggestions??????

I'm not sure what device you have, but you may want to pose the question in the root subforum for your device. I'm doubtful that you can prevent the update from being pushed through without rooting.

Why don't you just let it update? The market is bound to change sooner or later. No point in stopping it. Things change.
