Don't worry about the report of faulty devices. All electronic goods are subject to faults. Look on any Forum, whether it's for Droid, iPhone, TV's etc etc - you'll see loads of people all saying that their device doesn't work properly. This may be for a few reasons:

It's a forum so people come for help when they need it.
People naturally report the bad rather than the good (look at Hotel/Holiday reviews).

This is the nature of forums and unfortunately for people like yourself (and me 2 weeks ago) makes parting with your money a more daunting prospect.

Compare reviews of the Nexus One to the Hero when that came out though - they are far better.

Just out of interest Rusty, does your postcode look odd on your email notification from DHL? Mine reads A9 9AA.

Email notification from DHL? Haven't got any of them, despite signing up for email tracking updates.

However I think I can set your mind at rest, it's done for security purposes for international shipping (according to someone on the GoogleHelp forum).

As for the dust q, none of that stuff under my screen thankfully. Although I can't imagine I'd notice very quickly as my display is always pretty dim and I'm pretty poor sighted!

I concur. Was terrified of losing the G1's keyboard, but it just simply isn't an issue given how much bigger the screen is. On-screen keyboard is just so much easier to use!

Mine was given to the wrong driver. He went out of his way to drop it off.

The phone is a beauty. So much faster than my HTC Hero! I love it.

Hi all this is my first post, just wanted to say I have the exact same DHL info, they phone me today and said it should be with me on monday, so should be the same for you!

mine arrived yesterday one question though when i want to send a text and i start writing in the name it only looks at my facebook contacts not the contacts on the phonebook or am i doing something wrong?? other than that WOW what a brilliant phone to anyone thinking of getting one just do it you will not be disappointed
