Help Best method for backing up ?

Hi all

I back up to my sd card but what about if I lose the phone !

Any recommendations on the best back up method people use whether to a PC or else where and the method used.

Would like to back up to PC but can not find any thing in the guide.

Best is a NANDroid backup from a custom recovery.
