BLE communication device name cannot be changed

We are doing BLE communication with Android application and Nordic microcontroller. Even if the device name is changed with the software on the Nordic microcomputer side, it will not be reflected in the Android application.
But over time it will be reflected in the Android app.
Does this mean it's cached?

The device name is set by method device.name of BluetoothGatt.
