bTunes Music Player 1.6: Easily the best music player around

If you're not satisfied with the player included with your build of Android (and lets face it, you're not) this is the only player worth looking at. Yeah, it's not free but good things are worth it. This is one of them.

The interface is polished and it works mostly like an iphone. If you're missing the ease of playing music on a iphone after switching to Android, btunes will help ease the pain.

Album Art? No problem. It'll even hunt down stuff you don't have, just like itunes.

Podcasts? It'll save your spot in a podcast with a bookmark and play from slightly before where you left off the next time you start it up or even after listening to other tracks in the meantime. Most other players (or at least the ones I tried) can't even remember where you are if you don't finish the entire podcast in one sitting, how useful is that? (and you can substitute Audiobook in there too, this thing is great for any long-form file)

It even comes with a fancy lock screen to control your playlist so you don't have to unlock to pause a track or skip to the next one.

Don't let the $1.50 keep you from skipping this app. The free apps are okay, but they're not great. This is hands down the last music player you'll need.
