Frankly, I think it's downright ridiculous that people are installing leaked updates when they don't even own a computer and clearly have no idea how to go back if something goes wrong - or to recover if something went wrong during the update. The ONLY reason I gave the leaked FroYo a try was because I knew exactly how (and already possessed the tools) to go back to factory fresh.
It's no wonder Motorola sends C&D letters. Can we please use some common sense here?
If you own a car and someone tells you, "Here, pour this into your gas tank. If it works it'll be an upgrade. But there's a strong likelihood that it may not work right, or it might give unexpected results, or it might cause your car to stop running completely. And if it does any of those things, the only way to fix it is to own a specific set of tools that you don't have."
Let's see, do you do it? Or do you recognize that, in all likelihood, it's not worth destroying your car when you don't have the ability to fix it?
