Hello,

I am using android phone sony xperia u, i was wondering if we could read the sms and contacts backed on pc from xperia u?
Sonys pcCompanions It stores backup as single .dbk file

This is something that irritates , Earlier i used to use Nokia Symbian phone, I could easily store individually contact on pc, and more over if my phone was out of battery i could just see the phone number via contacts stored on pc, My earlier sms messages were stored individually and I could read all of them

But no more with android phone, Hopefully there will be some useful app to take backup and store Messages and Contacts individually

Any help is greatly appreciated

I am able to access individual messages n contacts
But while exporting for messages it renames them as sms 1 2
instead it should have just exported with phone number as title

Next contacts are still exported as single vcf file instead of individuals
Nokias sync was the best so far! Where i can export everything uninstall
Nokia sync and still have access to all my data

But not.in this case, having said that iy still is the best app for android
Sync so far

MyPhoneExplore will allow you to sync your contacts/calendar with Outlook or Thunderbird or as a standalone PC client. You shouldn't see an vcf files.

As for texts, I never back them up or export them as I send maybe 3 a year ......
