Desire drops wifi when laptop is on

Hi everyone,

Not sure if I am the only person who has come across this problem... My wifi on my Desire will disconnect if I have my Sony laptop connected to the wifi. It seems that my laptop steals the HTC's ip address.

I don't really want to assign my laptop a static IP address.

Does anyone have any ideas how to combat this?

Ensure dchp is turned on on your router. Could also mean you need to change your channel

Thanks! My router is administrated by my work and I cannot get access to the DCHP settings.

I would imagine that the DCHP is enabled as I have 2 laptops, one HTC Hero, two G1's, an ipod touch and a printer all connected through wifi on the same router, and never had a problem before.
