Root Dumb questions from a NEWB (me) Superoneclick

I just rooted my acclaim with superoneclick, so what now? I downloaded any app from the market that I thought would let me access and delete the factory apps but when I open it, its says I do not have root privileges. The app is called root uninstall. Im more at home working on cars and truck not phones and computers Id appreciate any advise and if you can "dumb it down" even better. Thanks.
