Help EVO 4G problem

I have a problem with my Evo 4G everytime I turn it on the screen is there but nothing is on it so I cant unlock it or anything, also i have gingerbread i don't know if this might be the problem but if anyone can help please do.

try pulling out the battery. and boot up. does this happen when the phone is sleeping and you turn it on?

I have this problem! When the phone is sleeping (usually when charging) when I try to wake the screen up it just turns grey. After about 3 times the display finally wakes up.

Any suggestions?

Hard Reset: Will DELETE ALL USER DATA. That means everything...

Power Off
Hold Volume Down
Press Power Key (remember the hold volume down thing)
FastBook Menu Appears
Use volume keys to scroll to Factory Reset
Press power key to select
Press power up to confirm
And it's back to factory.
