What is the best, free file manager for Root users? I am currently using Androzip. It works well, but maybe something is better. I had considered Root Explorer, but I would rather it be a free app for now.

It's not free but the standard is Root Explorer. Whatever it costs (I don't remember) it is well worth it. Does Androzip allow you to change read/write access in system directories? BTW - you do have 24 hours to give Root Explorer a test drive. If you do not find it worth the couple of bucks, uninstall and get a refund.

You need to click on flash ClockworkMod Recovery. Once you flash the recovery nothing will be grayed out.
