Root Flashing MIUI to MIUI with kernal

So I decided to give MIUI a shot, but I flashed the one without a certain Kernel. I"m not too happy with the battery life thus far, and am thinking about flashing the version with the kernel. My question is, do I need to wipe before that, or am I fine without wiping?

If its the same dev, you won't need to wipe.
