Flashing zips with stock recovery

hi,
i was wondering if it was possible to flash the google now app in my ice cream sandwich 4.04 phone with STOCK RECOVERY ,as i couldnt find a cwm suited for my phone.

Bricking is my major concern as i cannot afford an another phone at this moment
Please do help me...


my phone is Lava Iris n400 (rooted)

Hi there and welcome to the site :hello:.

I am not sure but I think Google now is only compatable with Jelly Bean. In any event, stock recovery will not allow you to flash anything except an official upgrade.

Since your phone is rooted, there is another way to try Google Now, but without having a custom recovery to make a nandroid backup, I wouldn't want to try it because as you said, you cannot afford to brick your phone.
