I'm looking for an app that uses the camera leds for the flashlight instead of the screen. Anyone know of one?

Download Incredilight from the Market. Your phone needs to be rooted for all the flashlight programs to work though.

How certain are you on this?
My friends Droids & EVOs didn't get a flashlight app with their updates . . .

The Droid didn't because they already have flashlight apps. On the Incredible we can't use them without root access.

Tell your friend with an EVO to check again. A guy I work with has one and yes it comes with a flashlight app when he got his 2.2 from Sprint.

And, for a third point, the leaked 2.2 builds for the Incredible have a flashlight, so it will be there.

If the leaked Froyo ROMs are any sort of guideline, then I am 100% certain there will be a build in HTC flashlight app. Incredilight was even updated so that on Froyo, you don't need Root access to use it which means HTC allows the app to use the LEDs as a flashlight.
