I think the biggest problem right now with the Droid playing FLV videos (And I could be wrong... and probably am) is that FLV is Flash Video. Droid = no flash. (Not really, anyway.)
You may have a lot better luck after the Flash 10 release.

Link not working for me:
The requested URL /rockplayer/Roc ... v6_vfp.apk was not found on this server.
Apache/2.2.15 (FreeBSD) mod_ssl/2.2.15 OpenSSL/0.9.8k DAV/2 Phusion_Passenger/2.2.11 PHP/5.3.2 with Suhosin-Patch SVN/1.6.11 Server at www.freecoder.org Port 80

There is an free trail, then you can to buy it. (if you want to play .flv, you need to buy it. But other files can still be played if you use a file manager from the market, to open a video. i recommend: File Manager, from the Adao Team)

I have been using VPlayer on Samsung Galaxy S then Galaxy S2 for some months, it has a wonderful interface but hangs on one out of five or six flv files, occasionally corrupting system files somewhat when it does. I downloaded arcMedia for
Moai has a problem - on my ASUS Tranformer I have .flv moves on SD card. SD card in mounted on /mnt/removable. Moai is using only /mnt/sdcard folder, which is part of ASUS regular disk.
Why not download to the computer and use VLC player/file converter to save in a format the phone plays?
BTW - I don't think my Coby tablet has flash - but it stuck the videos I had downloaded into Gallery for some reason. Even the SGS4G sticks the video in Gallery. MP4s usually. And they are all on the card.
