I was trying to copy files from my PC to my Optimus M. I used Software Data Cable from the Android Market and everything was going smooth. I tried to copy a file to the root of the sd card, and I get "An error occurred copying a file to the FTP server. Make sure you have permission to put files on the server." I tried to delete a file, and it also said something about permissions. Cam someone tell me how to enable such permissions?

ANY help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Take the card out of the phone and use a card reader to transfer files.

Or give EsFile Explorer a try. It's free and isn't ad supported.

I have no issues copying files to and from any shared folders on my LAN with this tool.
The only thing it lacks is the ability to change file permissions, other than that, it's perfect.
