Mine popped up but I had to cancel it as I had to reply to an email. I then manually checked via settings, and it says I'm up to date. Fairly annoying.
Sorry for the double post, but it would seem there was nothing to be scared of - 4.0.3 is now installed and seems to be running nicely. And it's got the S-Note application too
Mine installed over Kies rather than OTA and after a few hiccups is running fine. Definitely smoother and crisper responses. Screen seems better too. Sharper.
I'm being idle and can't be bothered to go upstairs and get the cable I fired up kies air and can't seem to find anywhere to check for updates. Just wondered where it was if at all

Based on the two hours of use since I updated to ICS the battery is draining at about 8% per hour, which means about 13 hours of use, which seems pretty normal as I have been using it quite a lot and wifi has been on constantly. According the power usage graphs the screen is taking by far the most power (69%). I did have a widget set the screen to auto mode (based on ambient brightness) prior to the update - not sure if that is still working.
Do we get face-unlock? Was quite keen to have a play with this. A cursory glance at the security options in settings doesn't seem to provide any clues.
Downloading via Kies now. Is it just me or is the download sloooow? I've got a fairly fast connection, it's dling over ethernet, but my word it's taking its time!
I originally thought I might wait for plenty of positive reports, or an update, but who was I kidding
Just upgraded mine via Kies. Went perfectly! All apps there, all the screens exactly as they were. And I am very happy to report that the phone is as smooth as silk! Exactly what has been missing from my Note is now there - smoothness! It's no longer stuttering when scrolling through contacts, apps respond when the button is pressed (not three seconds after it's pressed), and GoLauncher animations are silky smooth just like they were on my S2. I am one very happy bunny!
