Root GAOSP boot animations

i've been scouring all over to find a way to change the boot animation for the latest nightly of GAOSP, or for any Galaxy ROM for that matter. i've gotten a few apps from the Market, but aren't completely sold on their custom animations. since most of the custom animations i like are for other devices, what do i need to alter in the desc.txt file in order to get them to work? can i just download any zip that i do find that i like and just replace the file and reflash the GAOSP ROM? any help is much appreciated

I had looked into it for Galaxo but I never succeeded.

IIRC the galaxo's framework-res.apk contained the samsungs original bootanimation.zip...
/system/media/boot_ani/ ?

Dude so many on the web ... Difficult to know what will work on Galaxy.
If you can fork the files; why not give it a try. Time for you to hit google.

i've found a few, but it's tough to tell if the animation would fit on our screen. sorry, but the current gaosp splash is a little ... well ... blah! much respect on the nightly, but let's get something sweeter to look at!

oh, before you ask....the first splash screen is hidden somewhere i can't find

install with normal recovery/apply zip method

Also how to revert back to original GAOSP Boot Animation. Any Clue Mate.

but uploaded the default gaosp anim and rc1 versions(back2default) of my theme

Hope the super battery charger in the notifications is fixed up soon. Would give it a go on the latest nightly soon.
