Apps Generic Function Keys on Android 2.1 s/w Version

Hello, I am working on a new product which is a video tablet device that is operating off of the Android version 2.1. When plugging in a USB keyboard to the tablet, we discovered that the Function key F4 causes the tablet to shut down. That got me to wondering what are the generic function keys assigned by the software prior to mapping them differently should I choose to do so. Any input or reference to a website with this information would be greatly appreciated.
