Google Messages issue

When I open Google Messages on my Pixel 7 and text a favorite in the list, it asks to 'Select Destination' and lists the same number twice. On the screenshot for instance, this contact is only in my phone once. I cleared the Cache for Google Message but that didn't solve anything.

Check your contacts in the contacts app and see if you have any duplicates.

There could be a slight difference between your local contact info and your saved google contact info causing two almost identical contacts.
