Help Google search not working on s5

On a galaxy s5.
Using the internet app going to Google.com
I can insert a search in the search box but as soon as I hit search the "keypad" disappears and nothing happens.
The Google widget still works and I can't type a URL in OK.
Running Android version 5

This has worked perfectly in until about 4 days ago
