Group texting

I've recently rooted,now running Ginger villian 2.8 and I quite like the stock text messaging app,although I use group texting quite often.
Is there anyway to do this,or will I have to download the likes of handcent,go SMS etc??

yeah you just add the name or number of the people you wish to send the text to in the "To" box at the top of the screen when you compose a message.
