Tell me what is wrong with the program? And it could be your USB cable...mine is failing on me :(

Uninstall everything that has to do with LGNPST>Reboot>Reinstall everything with Administrator privileges>Reboot>try again.

I went to using the KP500 method. I wasn't able to get into recovery. So I flashed the IHO recovery. pressed Home+Vol. Down+Power and in 4 seconds the Iho recovery screen appeared. I guess the OEM recovery has some problem.

Anyways now I'm happy with my OV

It's ok I'll keep reading and trying...nothing else to do...thanks so much for responding though.. :)

No problem, if you put everything in the proper location, it will work fine. Just a quick note, a lot of the posts in this thread are from an old unbrick solution. This unbrick method is completely different so those solutions won't work for ya.

something the windows mobile phones use I think...

Did you ever get passed the error? I have the same exact issue.

Edit: Solved. Man I really dislike bad instructions. If I hadnt followed the OP instructions I would have saved alot of time. Basically the problem were having is were getting the cab file from the wrong directory.

LG Drivers: http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-VM670

LGMobile Support Tool 1.5.4.9: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Mobile-Phone-Tools/Others/LGMobile-Support-Tool.shtml

To make it easy do this:

1. download KP500 Utility (AKA KP500-Utils-EN) and extract root of hard drive: http://www.mediafire.com/?snj4vnbidufv2tu

2. Download Cab file and place it in the folder of what you just extracted (KP500-Utils-EN): http://www.mediafire.com/?97x37a989838mtq

3. Hold volume down and back button on your phone while plugging it in to your PC to get to SW Update Mode.

4. Go to root of hard drive and open the extracted folder (LG-Utils-0.4.2). Right click KP500-Utils-EN and run as administrator.

Select (J) and press enter

Type "VM670" and press enter

Since we placed everything on the root of your hard drive, that's where we will navigate to so the program can actually choose the correct file to update or unbrick your phone with. So it will be

"cd c:/KP500-Utils-EN/ZV5.cab" and press enter.

Then type "ZV5" and press enter.

5. If it fails while downloading then the navigation of the files are incorrect. If it fails in Update then unplug your phone and plug it back in and click restart.

You will have to do a factory reset after the update to get your phone to boot up.

If I am missing something let me know.

I like those instructions, sorry I'm not the best instruction maker :p but you forgot 2 important parts, drivers and the LG mobile support tool.

Any idea how I can get VM to get me my HA and AAA keys? I went to a VM store, played dumb, and they had no idea how to fix it. Called VM support and they just made a support ticket. I can see through LGNPST that the keys are indeed zeroed, but I don't think I can just call VM and ask for those.

Nope, no idea, maybe go to the VM store and say maybe the AAA and HA keys are missing, tell them your phone bricked, you found an unbrick solution online because you didn't want to pay anyone to fix it.
