Root [H631/MS631] CyanogenMod 12.1 for LG G Stylo

Yes I did, had to restore a nandroid because I don't have time to set everything up right now but I flashed it on a stylo with the new display. (Older links in this thread gave me the half screen bug)

Of course, I just wish I could have tested a bit longer to help see what's up but I'm gonna need my phone a lot this weekend. Keep up the good work though, I'm sure you'll fix those bugs soon enough. [emoji106]

We'll try. As of tomorrow's build, LED will be disabled, and that will be the only thing changed. I don't rely heavily on GPS, LED, or even Camera, so I'll be taking 20151126/27 out into the world with me for a few days.

Yep, I definitely wasn't rushing you at all. One thing, people reported being able to use GPS after using an app on the older builds, that might work. Just a band aid but I thought I'd mention it.

Yeah. I checked out GPS Locker, but havent really sniffed around in it yet. I might make that actually come with future builds if I can config it right until GPS is fixed.

Sounds like you have a plan, that always helps. Well I'll be looking out for new builds you drop, thanks again.

This is what I was working on all day yesterday. My new feature called Edgify, which is a clone of the Edge Screen for the Galaxy Edge devices. Still implementing the GPS lock which should be completed soon

Broski, allot of bugs perssit, things that might have been fixed in NB's build. Led always on, pressing power button shuts off but can't wake up. Lag as well. Been following this rom and using it daily.

How can I provide a logcat to show you errors. FYI clean wiped etc etc

-Enable USB Debugging under Developer options (if not mistaken this is already enable on CM, if not just enable it)
-Open Command Prompt
-go to where your ADB files are and type " adb devices " this is just to make sure the device is detected by your computer.
- As soon you see the Bootanimation showing on your device type the follow
Code:
adb logcat > logcat_11282015_0705pm.txt

this will create a logcat in the ADB directory and as you can see have the date and time to keep track of it

P.S. you can chage the date and time every time you create a new logcat

I'm confused.. I haven't had any of these issues on CM12.1. The only issues I have is GPS lock (Which I'm fixing) and Video Recording. Everything else works perfectly. My LED doesn't even come on at all so I'm not sure where people are getting the LED bug. I thought UD disabled that on his last build?

He's talking about the build bradym512 uploaded.
Yea but he's saying the bugs persist as if they were on the last build also. Maybe his wording is just wrong idk. Did you have the power button bug on the new build? If so then I might have to make my changes in UDs build instead until Brady fixes them

Yeah didn't really read back to his post again I was distracted, my bad. But no I didn't have any trouble with turning the display off and on with the power button or otherwise. Really only bugs I saw were the GPS and camera, those are givens, and the led staying on but that's not really a bug at this point since it can be disabled.

Mine doesn't stay on, it doesn't come on at all except for when I first boot the phone, then it goes away lol. That's weird but thanks

Flashed bradys build on two phones. One shipped with 10b and the other shipped with 10e. I get the power button bug on both. If the screen sleeps then it will be a black screen next time power is pressed. Led is constantly on. Exact same bugs on both devices.
On the 10e device I was getting a lot of random reboots with location off.
It's a nice rom and the progress is definitely coming along.

So are these two actually on those older firmware versions or did you update them to 10j? Maybe that has something to do with it, though mime shipped with 10j.

No they both have the 10j bootstack.
Having Location ON usually causes random reboots because of the GPS Lock bug. It's weird that you're having those issues, as I don't. I'll have to do some research on it. Btw I think you have to be on actual 10j rom instead of just the Bootstack.

They both came from the 10j rom. I flashed all partitions via dd in download except recovery so I wouldn't run into problems later like the people who flashed the update zips in previous versions.

This device is by no means dead. The other dev I'm working with has been a bit busy lately, and today I'm starting from scratch with the kernel. After CM has the led off, gps working, and camera working (aka basic functionality), I'll start getting upbring for Carbon, and Riku is working on AICP upbring. If you want to follow CM for this device, follow the DevDB project at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/cyanogenmod-12-1-h631-ms631-10j-10j-t3259281.
