Help with new htc rhyme

Hopeing someone can help me,i just got the htc rhyme and i love it.only problem is in the phone my facebook friends that have there phone number listed on fb are synced in my phone.ive read threads on here and tried to follow the directions to get rid of them but nothing has worked. I dont wanna have to go through people everytime i wanna call someone. If someone can help i would appreciate it... Thanx also they seem to go away only when i log out of the fb app. Then when i log back in they show up

Hello and welcome to Android Forums!

Go to menu>settings>accounts & sync and tap on your facebook account. Un-check sync contacts. Then open the Facebook app and press menu>settings and scroll to the bottom. Make sure contact sync is off there, too.

I did that and they still are showing up.and when i log out of fb and then log back in i have 3 choices Sync all (synce date about all friends) syncemwith excisting contacts or dont sync and under that one it says use info about friends only in facebook. And no matter what i do they still show up in phone :-\

The only thing that seems to work is to use the option remove account and then the facebook friends with phone numbers go away. Is there a way to be logged into fb and not have my fb friends phone numbers show up in phone?

You may have to clear Facebook data before they stop sync'ing. Log out of Facebook then go to menu>settings>applications>manage applications and tap on the ALL tab. Scroll down to Facebook and clear data and cache for that app. Then log back into facebook and see if that works.

Thank you so much for trying to help me but i just tried what you said and now the names and numbers are there but there pictures are gone. The only thing that seems to work is to log out of fb :-(

Welcome to the forum. I don't know how your phone works but mine doesn't sync any of my Facebook friends when i choose sync with existing contacts. Have you tried doing this

When i long press there is no delete option
