I currently have 2.3.3 on my htc evo 4g...i wanna root to ice cream sandwich or get the 3.7 or something like that...please help...step by step instructions would be nice

first off ics is only in pre-alpha stage so there is a lot of things that is not working. they are a few of them now but they are not stable roms yet.
as far as a rooting guide, i would use this:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html. read the guide from head to toe before attempting to root.
and please feel free to ask questions.
