Just rooted my commando, backed up everything went over the list of safe apps to remove, while I was uninstalling some of the bloat something tried to force close dont remember what and my phone froze. I had to pull the battery when I turned my phone back on I had lost my status bar and when somebody calls my phone won't ring or vibrate or change from the home screen for that matter. I have found that the contacts that have thier own ring tones still ring but the dialer doesn't come up it just stays on the home screen. Any ides?

Reinstall everything. Do a factory reset. reroot and start over. Definitely read the recovery for commando thread and install. Then create a nand backup. I almost bricked my phone yesterday, but I was able to restore it do to that recovery.
