I rooted my friends Droid X with Z4root and I dont know if its rooted?

    Ok I rooed using this app I reboot i see superuser so i guess I am rooted right? Well Idk because i am trying to run wireless tether and its not working?

    wireless tether will now take you to verizons subscription page, you are rooted, if you want to know for sure, download terminal emulator, and type in su if the $ changes to # your rooted :)

    Ok Thakns wat version of wireless tether should i be using?

    it doesnt matter, you have to subscribe for it now. sorry

    Look for Barnacle on the Market.

    i havent used barnacle, that turns your phone into a modem and not a hotspot correct? if thats the case that may still work, but dont be shocked and surprised if it doesnt. i hope you can find a way around it for your needs. good luck to you bud ^_^

    Barnacle is a WiFi Tether.

    not so sure that will work, but you can try, if its working for you nsa then im happy for ya :) i just dont think i will be attempting the wifi tether again, considering what has been happening to users. i at least can say verizon went about it a better way than at&t did just rerouting wireless tether users to their subscription page, instead of at&t saying we are gonna put you on the $40 a month tethering plan lol
