If I install this, will I be able to easily update to the official version when it's out or will I have to go back to the stock OS then update from that?

Most custom rom's turn off the auto-update. But if you install this, you're already running JB (minus the bloatware) so you kinda don't have to update anymore.

this isnt custom though, this is a proper test leak there for could have problems as such would need to be flashed to a full release version if there are issues

this is not just for root users as its not custom firmware non root users can do this too

i would also be a little more responsible and put (international) in your title just incase we get people who rush flash without reading the full article

This thread is posted in "international galaxy s3 - all things root".
That's pretty responsible posting, if you ask me.

why should none root users miss out on this leak?
if you post it in the normal forums you would need to modify the title.
im not saying you are irresponsible im saying most people that flash are so its worth putting it there are people really dont read. there are people who get root advice from the wrong areas constantly in these forums

I have the Sprint version so I won't try this one but the official leaks are usually pretty good builds. They are not nightly beta's with all kinds if stuff not working. The closer it is to launch the closer to the final build the leak is. I would try one of those in a heartbeat.

Oh and the best part (to me) is that you are rooted, get to have touchwhiz and keep all of the neat features that come with it as opposed to losing that on vanilla jelly bean.

where does it state that you are rooted? this is an official leak not a custom build with root

I have a Nexus 7 and Jelly Bean really isn't that different.

In fact I would go as far as to say the Galaxy S3 interface is just as fast, if not faster.

Just install nova launcher and enjoy your Galaxy S3 until the official release of Jelly Bean, trust me your not missing out on anything. ;)

this is different. this isnt about root, this is about the brand new jellybean leak that came out a few days ago. this is brand new and is an official rom

It's an official rom but according to people on xda it still raises the flash counter, so will cause the yellow triangle to appear.

So it's not completely safe for those who choose not to root/void warranty.

That's strange. Not even cfroot put the yellow warning triangle on my screen like it did on my gs2. I'm not saying the flash counter never went up but there's never been the triangle. I was kind of disappointed when it wasn't there as I've always loved wearing it as a badge of honor.

Fixing stuff is not easy

For that reason, I think it should be in the International ATR forum. We traditionally keep leaked test builds in there, anyways, as test builds may have bugs that a non-root user may not be equipped to understand/deal with.

Thanks for understanding.

Just about to flash it, I have to say there is a couple of you posting here that are just obnoxious, focus on the new rom not how or who posted it

ISSUES
Note stops all the time you will have to disable it

I installed it for about 4 hours and restored back to stock and root. Too many fc's with apps, browser, contacts, gallery...
