Root [International Tegra 3] Cant change rom sucessfully

Hi Phone is rooted and I have changed it to sentinel rom successfully 4.3 baseband 5.1204.162.29 kernel 3.1.10 cyanogenmod, but I want ot try a different rom now , no matter which rom I download and flash the boot img none will load successfully , usually it gets to the setup point and the touchscreen is non responsive so I have to abort installation , any ideas ?????

When you say setup, is that setup when the ROM has installed, or setup in recovery?

Which recovery are you using?

Setup when ROM has installed , touchscreen is unresponsive , cwm recovery

When it becomes un responsive, reboot back to recovery and fix permissions, then give it another go.

Are you doing all the relevant wipes etc in recovery before flashing?

I will try that and yes as far as i know I am doing all the relevant wipes
