Is it possible to tether my xperia X10 3g connection to my Motorola Xoom (Wifi Only) tablet?

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum. I was wondering if it is possible to tether my Xperia X10a 3g connection to my Motorola Xoom (Wifi Only) tablet?

I've heard that the Motorola Xoom does not support ad hoc.

I've just recently (2 hours ago) rooted my Xperia X10a in hopes that I can use the "Barnacle" or "Wireless Tethering for Root Users" apps to help me connect to the Xoom and get and internet connection on it but no luck.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

If anyone has this same setup and was successful, could you please post the steps to tether a 3g connection from the Xperia to the Xoom?

I thought you need to have some generic android version installed.

If you haven't checked, take a look at the xda website. It has a little more in depth help on tethering.

Or own the android forum here.....this dude fixed it by doing this - Set LAN to athwlan0

It's running well on my X10 (Rogers branded).

Just leave the settings empty for WAN, if I manually put rmnet0 it wouldn't work.
